  Worked as a Junior Field Scientist for one year (15 February 1993 to 15 February 1994) in the WWF-I project 4630, entitled ‘Conservation of Greater Adjutant Stork in Assam’ under Department of Zoology, Gauhati University.

Mid-winter waterbirds and bird census since 1990 to 1996.

 Worked as Junior Research Fellow, and then Senior Research Fellow in Stork Ecology Project, Department of  Wildlife Science, Aligarh Muslim University from August 1994 to April 1999.

Extensive field survey by motorcycle throughout the Brahmaputra Valley, Assam working as a research scholar in Stork Ecology Project during 1994-1997.

Visited most of the national parks and sanctuaries of Assam and India.

 Worked as the Research Scientist in Rare Raptors Ecology Project, Bombay Natural History Society in Buxa Tiger Reserve, West Bengal from 23 May 1998 to 15 June 1999.

 Worked as a Research Associate in Project on Protected Areas under Indian Institute of Public Administration from 1st September to 31st October 1999.
