KKHSOU, the Krishna Kanta Handique State Open University, enacted by State Open University, Act� 05, Govt. of Assam, being the 1^st open University in the North-East India. BPP: Stands for Bachelor Preparatory Programme, designed for those learners who have never been to school (but knows & understand how to write & read) or who drops out from school or who has not passed HSLC or 10+2 level. Such students may take admission in BPP and after passing this special programme they may directly take admission in any Degree Programme offered by this University.

There are two sessions in a year for BPP July- Dec & January- June. Admission continues whole round the year.
